Flemish Times The Belgian Government has announced today that finally French, Dutch and German will have parity in all law making, we here at the Flemish Times welcome this new with great joy. For too long have the Wallonians had it their way, now we Dutch speakers can really influence the decisions of Belgium.
It has also been announced that all members of the Belgian Parliament will be required to speak Dutch and French in the chambers during all speeches, German translation shall be given for those who can not understand those two languages. It is know that some Wallonian members of the cabinet are upset with the prospect of having to speak "Freaky deaky Dutch" but it is understood that the requirement will not be forced upon existing cabinet members though any new members of the cabinet will be expected to speak Dutch and French whilst also having a rudimentary understanding of German.
The Treasurer Baron Goldsko is known to be a massive opponents of the changes but has had a change of heart as it was noted to him that Flemish women are very attractive, so he has decided to learn some Dutch purely for the art of romance.
In other news, The Duke of Brabant was seen leaving Brussels earlier today to go a trip to Vienna to meet the Austrian Kaiser and learn about bumblebees.
